Kendall EcoDistrict

Mike and supporters,

I was at a Cambridge Climate Protection Action Campaign meeting last week, and learned about aggressive energy goals in the Kendall area. How all new buildings will need to meet strict building standards in line with Cambridge's stretch energy code.

This type of innovation happens in wealthy areas, and I agree with Mike when he calls attention to the needs to build sustainable communities in all areas of Cambridge and Somerville. We have the resources and technology in Massachusetts to do more with taxpayer money to improve our communities, promote more sustainable infrastructure, and enhance our quality of life.

By focusing on opportunities not being developed we have a powerful and more real perspective on where our taxpayer money goes.

Good luck this summer,

Ben

Hi Ben, thank you for the post. I agree with you. We have the resources and technology right here in Massachusetts to promote sustainable energy and infrastructure in all of our neighborhoods.

I would love for you to get more involved with our campaign — we are not raising any money to run for this public office — so there’s a need for someone such as yourself to play an important role on these issues.
